An analytical study of the impact of Egypt's accession to the BRICS bloc

Despite the existence of bilateral partnerships between Egypt and the BRICS, the volume of Egyptian exports does not exceed 0.12%, 0.3% of the bloc's total and agricultural imports. Therefore, the research seeks to analyze the impact of Egypt's accession to the BRICS on both the trade and agricultural balance and the opportunities available to Egypt. By analyzing the structure of foreign trade between Egypt and the BRICS, it was found that the Egyptian net trade and agricultural balance suffers from a deficit. And assessing the standards of the efficiency of Egyptian foreign trade with the BRICS. It was found that the average coverage rate of the total trade and the BRICS amounted to about 40.3%, 17.4%. While the average dependency rate on the Egyptian economy was about 23.5%, 5.5%. The indicator of the degree of economic exposure indicated that 20% of the economic exposure rate is due to the BRICS countries, and the international participation indicator shows the dependence of Egyptian trade on the BRICS countries by about 68%.By analyzing the structure of agricultural trade between Egypt and the BRICS countries, it is clear that the fruit group is the most important export group in terms of value, with a value of about $231.6 million. By studying the export opportunities for Egypt to the BRICS, according to the demand rates within the market, it was found that the BRICS markets are declining in the volume of the total demand for vegetables and the demand for fruits is increasing.
