* East Owainat Research Station was established according to the ministerial resolution No. 1537 in the 4-26-2001 on an area of 120 fedan managed by means of modern farm management, with the aim of conducting scientific research necessary to develop technical recommendations for the development of agricultural crops in this region, which is working on the development of this region economically and have been contributing to the solution of the problem of limited land and agricultural resources in Egypt year after year.
* The water source of this station is water wells (deep pumps).
* The research station is located of the village of EL Ain _ East Owainat – EL Wahat El Dakhlaa - New Valley Governorate.
* The famous field and horticultural crops, which has cultivated and studied in the region (wheat – Alfa Alfa - beans - corn - barley - cotton - soya beans - potatoes - cantaloupe – Mango)
